OUR OBJECTIVES

  • Organize group trainings on ever improving agricultural technologies and production practices
  • Continued support on clean seeds production, storage and dissemination services
  • Organize group Agribusiness trainings (soft skills) to members for productive farming practices
  • Looking for opportunities for collective markets and collective bargaining (drawn pools)
  • Advocate for improved livelihoods for members socially and economically
  • Enter into collective/common contracts with institutions, Processors and other entities on behalf of the members for various opportunities

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Registered 46 members drawn from 6 regions of the Lake Zone.
  • 43 out of the 46 members have undergone various trainings and are certified seed producers
  • We have managed to secure an insurance plan for our families in the event of deaths (members contribute a principal sum of 24,000 per year approx.
  • We have participated in the just concluded Agricultural Trade Fair and we have so far received so much inquiry from the event for clean sweetpotato seeds (Business expansion and links)
  • We have also been sponsored by CIP to obtain branded promotional materials that included T-shirts, caps, umbrellas, exhibition tents and an event tent that could be a revenue source to association
